Be A JEAN-IUS: Find The Best Jeans For You!

These classic babies are the most common piece of clothing, but think about it, is there a formula for what pair to buy? Or, do you just (like me) try on a million pairs until you find the one that makes you shine? Or,  just grab a pair off the rack figuring hey, they're just jeans. Well girls, stop right where you are and keep reading! For this is how to rock every pair of jeans.

I'm going to do this a little differently than usual... This time, I'm giving you the best type of jeans for you AND (But wait! There's more! Haha I'm sorry, I had to.) how to wear other kinds you may be interested in. Well, what little tricks to keep in mind whilst buying skinny jeans, flares and boyfriends.

If you are Petite: You're going to want a dark colored pair without any rips. Plain, I know. But, these will elongate your legs, which is a must do for you.
Say hello to Karlie Kloss legs, am I right?

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: High waisted! No doubt. The waist will draw attention up, which makes your legs look really long and lovely.

What to look for in Flared Jeans: Get a well fitting waist! Your tiny build could swim in flares, so make sure that your waist, hips (and personally, I love flares with a tight thigh) fits well to give you that great shape.

What to look for in Boyfriend Jeans: Nothing. I'm sorry girls, but this style really isn't for you! However, as long as you are aware that you can look better in other looks, I'm still going to say to try some baggy BF's. They will add some volume to your figure.

If you are Pear shaped: Try Mid-rise straight legs! The waist should fall just below your natural waist and the tiny flare in the straight leg will balance out your lower half.

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: Dark wash! This will also balance out your bottom half.

What to look for in Flare Jeans: Big bells on the bottom! A wide flare will even out your larger hips and make you look more proportionate. Also, your legs are going to look long like a models... Score!

What to look for in boyfriend jeans: Keep them tight around your thighs and booty (keep yourself from looking frumpy!) and let them loosen up below your knee! Super cute. Even though I'm not this build, I wear these kind of BF jeans religiously!

If you are hour glass shaped: Try high waisted! The waistline will really highlight your tiny tummy while flattering your hips. It doesn't have to be as tight as the model's (although Candice can pull it off) and you can rock the high waisted in a more comfy look.

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: Well you (lucky) ladies are built to wear skinny jeans and I've found that nearly any pair will do well for you! However, I'd beware of the skinny being too tight at your hips, and cause you to look like you have a muffin-top.

What to look for in Flare Jeans: Just ordinary flares or a pair that really (well, not really tight, but you know, well fitting.) hugs your hips and thighs with an exaggerated flare. Get them highwaisted (like Candice here) and you're golden!

What to look for in Boyfriend Jeans: Just look for something in the middle! They should be tighter around your booty and thighs, but loosen up around your knees.

If you are tall and lean: Try a short cut skinny! Also, you could just have the  bottoms cuffed... It will really show off the glorious length of your legs and keep you looking chic.

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: Keep it cuffed or short. Being tall, I've found that the cuff is just a bit better because it's like saying "Hey, I have extra fabric here. It's chic." whereas the shortness can often look like "Hey, I'm tall and jeans just don't go past my ankles. Whoops." And as you know, us fashionistas don't "Whoops". So, I advise a neat cuff.

What to look for in flares: Keep it skinny around your thighs and hips, down to your knees, then exaggerate! Big bottoms will make your shape look more, well, shaped and your legs look thin and long. Flares are your kind of jeans, ladies.

What to look for in Boyfriend Jeans: Try a looser fit with the works! Ripped, acid washed, whatever you want. You can rock it.

If you are curvy: Go for small prints and structure! The small prints will really balance you out and the structure will hold everything where it needs to be. Say hello to a perfect looking butt!

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: Again with the prints! Make it you with whatever print you want. Bold, Chic and different. You can also go for a nice dark wash skinny jean.

What to look for in flared jeans: Just go for a tiny flare at your ankles to really balance out your build! Too much flare can make your bottom half look bigger and trunk-like, which isn't too cute.

What to look for in Boyfriend Jeans: Cuff it up! Thick cuffs all the way for you girls! They get rid of all that extra bulk to really stay flattering instead of frumpy.

If you are athletic: Go for a girly flare (with glittery pockets!) to really show off that beautiful bum. The feminine flare will add that touch of girly you need to balance out your body.
(Also, some girls who are built without curves consider themselves athletic, and if you're one of those girls reading this, refer to the Tall and Lean section.. and get some cool pockets to add a little something to your lack of a bum!)

What to look for in Skinny Jeans: You're going to want to look for those pockets again, and a cool, sleek dark wash. The dark will really really really make you look fit and fab.

What to look for in Flares: Again, flares are your calling! Keep it tight around your thighs and booty to really flatter them, while letting them bell out under your knees.

What to look for in Boyfriend Jeans: Since many of you are built sort of masculine (not all, by any means, but part of being in shape is that you may lose some of your curves.) you need to really find the feminine side of BF jeans. Look for the cute pockets or innocent fit. Or, just go femmy on the top.

Good luck, ladies!
