First, here's a couple guidelines to look into for choosing your perfect outfit:
1. Make sure it's comfortable. When the clock strikes midnight, you're going to be cheering because it's 2015, not so you can finally pull off those heels that were really cute, but too tall and didn't really fit.
2.Give it a little something extra. New Year's outfits are commonly covered in sparkles or glitter, or really big and fancy. So don't be afraid to pull that little sequined dress from the back of your closet, it is its time to shine!
3. Feel free to show a little skin. If you don't want to, that's prefectly normal. However, a lot of women and girls like to show a little leg to really get the party started! If you look great, you'll feel great. And if you feel great, you'll look great.
4. The most important part: Be happy, be confident and be you! New Years is a blast and a new beginning, so the best way to look great, is to have fun and be yourself.
Okay, now I'll go into some specifics for what to wear for whatever your plans may be.
If you're.. going to a house party.
Wear something that has a little sparkle, of course. For example, try a nice skirt or dress. Dresses are the most common, but like the picture, skirts can look great too.
Pick a length appropiote for you that won't slide up too much as you dance the night away! A Little Black Cocktail Dress (LBCD) will suit you just fine!
If you're going.... to a formal party.
Two words: Long. Glittering. Wear something that reaches your feet and is of nice material, which will look very elegant. Usually darker colors are preferred , so keep that in mind as you decide what to wear.
If you're going... on a casual date.
I'd say little black dress all the way! You still want to look beautiful and dress nicely, but be casual. If you want to fancy it up just a bit, add on some nice jewelry. Or, toss a couple nice accessories in your purse so when you get to the restaurant, you can decide what level of formal you want to be by just slipping on some jewels.
If you're going.. on a formal date.
I would say basically the same thing as a formal party, but don't be afraid of bright colors. You, on a date, have the perfect opportunity NOT to blend in and to shine. You go, girl.
