Romper Rage!

Rompers are everywhere!
They are, however, difficult to execute... Basically meaning, it's difficult to find the best one for you and your build. So, here's a few kinds, tips on how to wear them, and what kind to wear with your build. Good luck, loves.

"The Tight Fit"
This is the absolute tightest that I would wear a romper. If you go too tight, you may look like a teenage girl in the mall, not a fashionista.  Notice that even though the tightness of the garment due to the long length of the short portion, she looks pretty and fit not cheap.

"The Big Tee Shirt"
This one looks effortless and cute. For this, always always always wear a bright color. Also, never forget that belt in the middle. Without it, you may look overweight, therefore, not your best. However, with the belt,  eyes are drawn right to your waist!

"The Big and Bright"
This girl will be spotted from a mile! In this example, don't only notice the big and bright pattern, look at that "color blocking". Contrast is even in rompers! Pair some bright summer colors together (That don't clash: See my first blog post including rules for more information about that... Bottom line:If they are in the same triangle [ie. primary color, ie yellow, blue and red] then don't wear them together.) and enjoy the amazing results.

"Floral and Fab"
The most common romper pattern isn't the most common for no reason. It looks good! Anyways, floral is always a summer classic, perfect to be worn with a pair of strappy sandals and shades.

"Aztec and...Awesome?"
Also, make sure to try the new trend of Aztec. Tip: If you decide on Aztec, make sure the lines are pointing downward like the example above. This (like stripes! See my "I'm Seeing Stripes" post) causes you to appear longer and thinner! Short and fat designs will make you look well.. like the stripes. This pattern also goes well with the common summer pieces of sandals and shades. I love hers in the photo, so cute and perfect for her facial structure.

"The LBD Effect"
Yes, you just read that correctly. I suggest that every woman invests in a black romper to treat as another little black dress. By this, I not only mean to treat it as a classic, ready-to-wear, date night go-to piece but also use it like a neutral canvas to wear your accessories. The Little Black Romper is the perfect and classic date night outfit with just the right amount of dark to accessorize.

Now that you've seen the basic 6 types of rompers, here's some tips on how to wear them!

1) When wearing a pattern (such as the floral and aztec) tone down your look with subtle accessories. You don't want too much going on at one time.

2) If you decide to go long (not like any of the examples I've showed you) go with a neutral color. A full head to toe floral will make you a little too noticeable. You can always bling it up with fun accessories!

3) When looking for rompers, look for this : Light spring colors with dark piping! It's the recipe for chic. An example of this is a rose petal/pastel pink with a rich navy blue piping on pieces like the pockets or buttons.

4) Dress it up with a pair of (strappy, please!) heels and dress it down with (again, strappy!) sandals.

5)When wearing a loose or laid back romper, always (always, always, always) remember a tie or belt in the middle. This keeps your look cute and laid back, not frumpy.

6) If you decide to put something over your romper (Such as a cardigan or blazer) make sure the length of it is less than the romper! With it longer, it looks a little sloppy, not chic.

7) THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT! When looking for the correct length, rest your hands at your sides. The ends of your fingertips will provide the perfect length for anyone.

Bottom line: Remember that rompers are a super fun addition to your closet! They symbolize summer and kicking back. Basically, what I'm trying to say is don't pair your studded leather heels with these things. Just have fun! Clothes are not only meant to make you look good, but feel good as well.

Which kind of  Romper to wear with your build:

If you are Petite: Look for a small pattern and a short hemline. Also, add strappy heels for a couple more inches. By doing this, you are avoiding looking like you are swimming in the romper.

If you are Pear-Shaped: Go for a solid bottom! The best for you would be to buy a neutral romper such as black and white patterned top with a black bottom and to buckle a colorful belt around your waist. This draws attention to your waist and balances your frame.

If you are Tall and Lean: Try going for a loose romper with a tie in the middle. You'll still look thin and tall, and hey, you can pull it off! The loose clothing will really accent your thinness!

If you are Average and Lean: Try the Aztec with vertical lines. They will make you appear tall and model like, just what you need.

If you are Short and Wide: Try solid colors that are fitted to you. I wish there was a formula I could tell you for your perfect amount of looseness and tightness, but girls.. You're alone on this one. Try to find something in the middle! Too tight will make you look bigger and too loose will make you look bigger. I just suggest trying on a bunch until you come across that magical one!

If you are Athletic: Go for a sleeveless-strapless. Show off those great arms and shoulders!

If you are completely average: Try everything. I'm dead serious. Average people are (Ironically) all different. I suggest going with the "Big and Bright"! It's fun and cute. Mostly everything should work for you, especially if you follow the rules!

Well, that is all I have for you ladies tonight! I really hope this helped and I tried really hard to include everything you would need (Types of rompers, rules of rompers and what romper for you) you would need. I'm striving for this blog to do well, since it is, after all, my passion.
