Hey lovelies!
I just recently arrived home from my five week journey across the United States, and since the second week, I've been dying to write this post for you. I know that some magazines that I usually beat (Twist, etc.) have written an article on this amazing trend, but I thought, whatever. I'm doing it anyway.
So, here we are.
First, what are they?
Also considered just plain graphic tees, expressive graphic tees are a tee shirt with a words that form a sense of style representing your style, opinions, sense of humour, personality, or even all of the above.
I've, as you can tell, have been in love with these forever. So, if I seem a bit too excited, just stick with me. I'll try to answer any questions I imagine you'll have on how to rock this look.
1. Just wear your tee over a pair of cute shorts for a super cute, kicked back style that is perfect for summer.
2. For something a little more fancy, toss on a nice jacket or blazer. Perfect for going out to dinner with the girls.
3. The Statement. Simple as that! Pairing colors such as black and white (espeically with this sparkly, eye-catching jacket) to make people read your shirt. And I think that I may just need this shirt.
4. The cut off. You can buy it with the tummy missing, or do it yourself! However, I just warn you to beware of at what length you cut it. There's nothing cuter than a graphic tee cropped, but it can instantly go from attention grabbing to attention seeking with just a few inches!
5. Love the cartoon mania! Pair your favorite cartoon with heels and/or a skirt for a look that's chic. Add mature accessories to keep your look fabulous, and not childish.
6. Go skater! Pair your tee with a high waisted skater skirt for a chic, girly and fun touch. If you're tee isn't cropped, make sure to tuck it in, and even add a belt. And as for this outfit, I am currently wearing a minnie mouse shirt with my hair like that, own that skirt and have sunglasses like those... Whoops.
7. Fancy bottoms such as lacy shorts add that little bit extra to such an extremely casual piece such as our tees.
8. If you have a baggy tee, to keep from looking frumpy, tuck it in! Or, if it's too cold, just wear some tight pants, and if you do this, tuck in just the front to give you that laid back, yet high lighted waist feel. And as the ones of you that have read my stuff from the beginning (Thank you, thank you, thank you) know that by tight pants, I don't mean leggings. I mean a tight pair of sleek, black skinny jeans, if you're really casual. Please don't be mad that I insulted leggings, I just really think that a good pair of jeans flatters any girls figure better than leggings. Thank you for listening to that mini rant, and again, please don't hate me!
9. Statement necklace! If you want to make your shirt the statement, don't wear a necklace but.. Add a bit of fun to your outfit by pairing your tee with a pretty (and large) necklace.
10. Floral! I adore a pair of floral high waisted shorts with a funny tee for my personal summer look.
