The Crop Top for Your Build: How Real Girls Can Look Real Good in Crop Tops.

Hey lovelies!
As summer is upon us (can I get an amen?!) I have seen SO many crop tops. Different lengths, styles, patterns, looks and attitudes. So, I thought I'd add them to my little collection of posts on what to wear to rock this look with your  body type!

If you are Curvy:
Find a top that hits just at your natural waist (which is, I've found, a bit longer than average). Pair it with a pencil skirt to pull the look together.

I apologize for not using a real curvy woman as my photo, but after searching and searching, I didn't see any pictures that I liked and showed the look (and confidence) I was hoping for! So, here's this gorgeous little thing.

If you are pear shaped:

Find a top that cuts off at the tip of your rib cage (the thinnest part of your body). You'll want to pair this with a well fitting skirt (and a confident smile of course!).

If you're hourglass shaped:
You're lucky, you were born to wear crop tops. And, since your waist is so naturally small (or not, if you work hard on that, I appreciate that. Good job, girl.) you don't have to wear anything high waisted or be scared to show off that lovely tummy of yours!

I'd personally pair a semi loose bottom (not as loose as the picture) if you're wearing a higher cut top, to keep you from looking a little too tight and exposed. And, it will make you look like "Oh, I'm just casually gorgeous." not "I'm trying wayyy too hard!"

(I've been talking about my models so much today, sorry! But, I've noticed that these fashion blog's models have been talked about, so I'm explaining myself. Candice Swanepoel, my girl here, is now going to be part of the hourglass build which is all new to my blog. It seems that some girls think that curvy has more curves and less of a tiny waist than Candice does, so I respect that and have made an adjustment that I really like, and hope you will as well... Back to the fashion now.

If you are athletic:
Try either a "Flowy" ( in the pic; I know there is a name for this type of cut, but I cannot think of it or find it anywhere on the internet. When I searched for flowy crop tops, I got millions of them.... So sorry for that.) or Y neck top. The Y points to your beautiful collar bones, and the flowy points to your stomach! Warning: If you choose the flowy, don't hide under it! Get one that is semi short, for example, where the thinnest part hits the end of your ribs. Wear some ordinary shorts with this and you're rocking it!

If you are tall and lean:
Try a top that hits your natural waist, and even slightly below. Find shorts/a skirt that will leave you just showing a few inches (around 3, maybe 4 depending on your preference) and will really flatter your already tall frame by making you look even longer.

(As you all know, my girl Taylor Swift is my model for the tall and lean build. I'm sorry if you don't like her, I try not to post celebrities for that reason. However, she does have an amazing sense of style and I appreciate that. Thank you!)

Ps. This build can also be considered the ballerina, or 11 body!

If you are petite:

The key word for you is volume. And by that I mean loose and boxy! Pair a loose crop top with high waisted shorts (A skater skirt would just be too much loose and flowy.) to make you appear a bit taller and to really flatter your tiny frame.

If you are Plus Size:

Yeah, that's right! You girls can rock this too. You need to look for a well fitting top (not too tight, or too loose!) and some nice, structured pants.

Well, that's all I have for you girls today!

I just wanted to say that I hope you appreciate the new body types... I changed my girl for curvy (which is now not expected to have a small waist) added hourglass and plus size. I do apologize for all the mini rants about my models, but I was sort of hurt when I hear people talking about us bloggers and how we don't include all types of girls and curvy girls don't look like Candice or this and that. I really do want to make everyone pleased, so I hope this helped.

I didn't include all builds, for example the inverted triangle (big on top including shoulders, small on bottom, opposite of pear) because usually you girls fit into another category, but I could if you want me to. And by the way, try a halter top... You're welcome!

If you have a build you want me to talk about, just comment. I'd love to hear from you guys. OH, and this is really important (so much I purposely capitalized the first word of the sentence), I really need models for these looks.

I'm doing Taylor Swift for tall and lean and Candice Swanepoel for hourglass.
That leaves... Petite, Athletic, Pear, Curvy and Plus size.
I just made my own Facebook page, so if you could, give it a like, check it out, follow and/or chat me! I love to talk clothes with my girls: my fans.

(Though you can't simply click the link and have it work [issue with my website] you can highlight it with your curser and click, so select it basically, and it will have the option that says "Go To..." and that, my lovely girls, is where you'll find me! Thank you so very much.)

Please, comment, +1, do what you do.
Thank you.

Stay fabulous.
